Blog... mmm I've hit a point where I wonder if there is any point in me voicing my opinion to news around the world. Surely we should have our own views to things and the best way is with articles which are opinion less and only factual.

But opinions are exactly why blogs work... it's like a social news filter ... I am interested in the opinions of the people whom I see each day - (or more accurately, interested in things that they are interested in just because of the social relationship).
Creating something opinion-less is difficult... that's what wikipedia tries to do with it's NPOV (Neutral Point Of View) policy.
