IBM is going to contribute Software Development Blueprints to Open Source
rational (IBM) to contribute a subset of the IBM Rational Unified Process (RUP)
This is great to hear I like to hear about things turning open source, because it benefits all.
I don't in fact like to use Rational I found it rather bad to use, felt like a very old appliation in the way it handles things.
I like to use Posiedon for UML by gentleware. But Rational Rose is the standard.
Eclipse will benefit from this, which is an IBM open-source IDE built using JAVA, and can be used as an IDE for basiclly any language.
